TEO AI LIN, EVELYN (Dr)

 

Dr Evelyn Ai-Lin TEO is Associate Professor at Department of Building of National University of Singapore. She is the Technical Coordinator of buildingSMART Singapore, External Advisory Committee Member of buildingSMART Korea and International Advisor of buildingSMART Hong Kong. She has invented the BIM QTO system and has won an excellent paper award in 2007 for the ‘Deployment Framework to promote the Adoption of Automated Quantities Taking-off System’.

 

Dr Teo is also active in participating in BIM, carbon and safety research projects both locally and internationally as researcher and consultant. One of her recent completed research deliverables is the Online Practical Carbon Index Measurement Tool for Singapore Construction Industry. 

 

 

Director's Message

 

We want to keep introducing new technologies to our students. Advances in technology have helped quantity-surveying students move away from labour intensive tasks to concentrate on the important aspects of non-traditional quantity surveying services. Meanwhile, we work closely with industry stakeholders in developing our course modules so we stay relevant and aligned with the industry’s demand. One of our recent projects - a collaboration with the industry and BCA, is on BIM, safety and productivity.
