At AceBIM, we aim to make better buildings through more sustainable design. In striving to attain Green Mark Certification with standard design considerations under Energy efficiency, Water efficiency, Environmental protection, Indoor environmental quality and other green and innovative features which contribute to better building performance. By simulating environmental and building conditions through the use of BIM (Building Information Modelling). With integrated project delivery approach can therefore help increasing efficiencies for owners, constructors and designers.
The early and open sharing of project knowledge streamlines project communications, allowing owners to balance expectations and project options. There is also early contractor involvement and they can contribute their expertise in construction techniques early in the design stage. Designers are able to benefit from early contractor involvement, hence making more accurate design decisions.
Future of BIM
As the construction industry becomes progressively integrated with technology, BIM becomes a critical component for simulating building construction processes. BIM is an intelligent model-based process that provides insight to help people plan, design, construct and manage buildings and infrastructure, consisting of a database that helps in bringing every piece of information together (Autodesk, 2014). It is said that about 90% of projects using BIM are finished on time or ahead of schedule.
The utilization of BIM in construction processes allow the project to move forward with increased predictability. With better visualization, risk of errors are reduced through integrated design engineering and fabrication workflows. More importantly, simulation of the cost and time improves forecasting, ensuring that the construction project is well within budget. The requirements for building system performance are becoming more complex over time. BIM allows better coordination of these demands with tools such as clash detection, structural simulation and code compliance. BIM solutions help turn information into insight and this is ultimately the best deliverance of business value in the construction industry.
